| THE GEOMETRY LESSON My cat taught me how to solve All the geometry problems I failed. I never could determine Which angle was obtuse, Even after my lovers insisted That my proofs Were filled with errors. I never detected them. But my cat stares Into her corner, And I finally understand How I wrote my life As one boring word problem, Rather than as a lovely graph Of bodies falling Toward the future. |
